Overview:

Early life adversity can leave psychological and biological scars that impact on development of children and impact on their developmental trajectory. Not all kids are impacted equally by their environment, we need to understand what increases risk and resilience. We will investigate which experiences are most detrimental when it comes to mental health and identify markers to identify kids that are developmentally vulnerable. We will use birth cohort data to identify biological and psychological parameters that impact on mental health and drug and alcohol use in young people.
